Section 01

Overview

At Amit Sports, we are committed to providing quality sporting goods and honest service. We understand that occasionally a product may not meet your expectations, or an item may arrive with a manufacturing defect. This policy sets out clearly what you are entitled to, under what conditions, and how to proceed.

This policy applies to all purchases made in-store at our Gumti No. 5, Kanpur location. All return and exchange requests must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt. We do not entertain requests without proof of purchase.

Please keep your receipt. The original purchase bill is required for all return, exchange, and defect claims. Requests without a bill cannot be processed.

If you have a concern that is not addressed in this policy, please contact us directly at +91 99847 72244 or visit the store Tuesday through Sunday between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM. We will work with you in good faith to reach a fair resolution.

Section 02

Return Policy

We accept returns on eligible products within 7 days of the purchase date, subject to the conditions below. Returns outside this window will not be accepted except in cases of manufacturing defects (see Section 05).

Conditions for a Valid Return: Item must be unused, in its original packaging, with all tags and accessories intact. Original receipt required. Request must be raised within 7 days of purchase date.

Upon a successful return, the customer will receive a store credit note valid for 90 days. Cash refunds are issued only in cases of manufacturing defects where an exchange is not possible. We do not issue refunds for change-of-mind purchases of items that have been used or removed from packaging.

Section 03

Exchange Policy

Exchanges are accepted within 14 days of the purchase date for size, colour, or model differences, provided the item is in unused condition and original packaging.

To exchange an item, bring it to the store with your original receipt. Our staff will assess the condition and, if eligible, assist you in selecting an alternative. If the replacement item is of higher value, you will be charged the difference. If lower, a store credit will be issued for the balance.

Note on restrung rackets: Rackets that have been restrung — whether here or elsewhere — are not eligible for exchange, as the stringing process is considered customisation.
Section 04

Non-Returnable & Non-Exchangeable Items

The following categories are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances, except in cases of proven manufacturing defect:

  • 01Custom and personalised trophies, medals, and awards — any item engraved, printed, or customised to order is non-returnable.
  • 02Used or knocked-in cricket bats — once a bat has been knocked in or struck a ball, it is considered used and personal.
  • 03Worn footwear — shoes showing any sign of outdoor use, sole wear, or removal of insole stickers are non-returnable.
  • 04Assembled or installed gym equipment — treadmills, exercise bikes, or any equipment that has been assembled and used cannot be returned.
  • 05Opened consumables — shuttlecocks, grip tape, chalk, and other consumable items once opened are non-returnable.
  • 06Restrung rackets — rackets that have been restrung, whether at Amit Sports or elsewhere, cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • 07Sale and clearance items — items sold at a discounted or clearance price are final sale unless a manufacturing defect is present.
Section 05

Defective Products

We take product quality seriously. If you believe a product you purchased has a manufacturing defect — meaning a fault that was present at the time of purchase and not caused by use, misuse, or accidental damage — we will address it promptly.

Manufacturing defects reported within 30 days of purchase will be assessed in store. Where a defect is confirmed, we will offer a replacement item of the same type or a store credit. Cash refunds are issued only where no suitable replacement is available.

Please note: damage caused by incorrect use, accidental impact, improper storage, or normal wear and tear is not covered under this policy. We will assess each claim fairly and transparently, and we will always explain our finding.

To report a defect, bring the item to the store with your original receipt and describe the issue to our staff. We may need to inspect the item before confirming whether a defect is present.

Manufacturer warranties: Some products — particularly treadmills and gym equipment — may carry their own manufacturer warranty separate from this store policy. Ask our staff at the time of purchase for warranty documentation.
Section 06

Service Warranty

All in-store services carried out by Amit Sports — including racket restringing, grip wrapping, and equipment repair — carry a 7-day satisfaction guarantee.

If you are dissatisfied with the result of a service within 7 days, bring your item back to the store and we will rectify the issue at no additional charge. This covers:

The service warranty does not cover damage caused after collection — for example, a string broken by a mishit, or a grip damaged by sweat or improper storage.

Section 07

How to Raise a Return, Exchange, or Defect Request

The process is straightforward. We ask that all requests be raised in person at the store wherever possible, as we need to inspect the item before making a decision.

  • 01Contact us first. Call or WhatsApp us on +91 99847 72244 to briefly describe your concern before visiting. This helps us prepare and reduces your wait time in store.
  • 02Visit the store at Gumti No. 5 between Tuesday and Sunday, 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Bring the item in its original condition with all packaging and accessories.
  • 03Bring your original receipt. No request can be processed without proof of purchase. A photograph of the bill on your phone is acceptable.
  • 04Our staff will assess the item and explain our finding. For defect claims, this may take a few minutes of inspection. We are transparent about our reasoning.
  • 05Resolution. If your claim is valid, we will offer a replacement, exchange, or store credit as applicable. The outcome will be communicated clearly before any action is taken.
