In the mid-1980s, Amit Sports opened its doors near Gumti No. 5 in Kanpur's Darshan Purwa locality. The vision was straightforward: offer Kanpur's athletes — from schoolchildren to serious club players — a place where they could find quality sporting goods and receive genuinely honest advice.
Four decades later, that founding principle remains unchanged. We are not a franchise. We are not driven by sales targets or brand agreements. We are a family-run business that takes deep pride in knowing our products, understanding our customers' needs, and recommending what will actually serve them best — regardless of price point.
Over the years, we have expanded from cricket and basic sports goods into a comprehensive destination covering gym equipment, badminton, tennis, trophies, footwear, swimming gear, and recreational products. The store now stocks over 500 products across eight major categories.

In-store services formalise — professional racket restringing, grip wrapping, and treadmill maintenance. Premium overseas willow cricket bats are stocked for the first time, serving Kanpur's competitive cricketers at the highest level.
Today, Amit Sports carries over 500 products across eight categories — from trophies and medals for corporate events to swimming kits, board games, and remote-control toys. A 4.2-star Google rating reflects four decades of sustained customer trust.
